Sit With Me
an end-of-year reflection
Sit with me for a minute. No phones, no rushing, no pretending we’re not tired. Just sit — the way you do with a friend when the year has said enough and you’re finally ready to listen.
This year came in loud. Left quietly. And somehow still managed to rearrange parts of us we didn’t even know were loose.
There were wins — real ones. Some big enough to celebrate out loud. Some so small only you noticed, like learning to speak up, or choosing rest without guilt, or not crying over things that used to undo you.
Those count too. Especially those.
There were losses as well. Big ones. Small ones. Things you grieved openly and things you pretended didn’t hurt because explaining them felt exhausting. People you lost, versions of yourself you outgrew, dreams that didn’t survive the year — even though you tried to carry them gently.
But look at you. Still here. Still breathing. Still laughing at things that don’t make sense. Still hoping, even when hope felt irresponsible.
Growth didn’t arrive with fireworks. It showed up quietly — in boundaries, in better choices, in the way you stopped begging for things that weren’t good for you. In the way you learned that peace is louder than chaos if you listen closely enough.
And yes, there were moments this year that were almost funny in hindsight. The plans that didn’t plan. The “this will be my year” declarations followed by naps. The confidence you had on January 1st that had absolutely no evidence to back it up. We laugh now because what else can we do?
As the year ends, I don’t want to rush you into resolutions. I just want you to aim higher — not louder, not faster — just higher. Higher standards. Higher peace. Higher faith in who you’re becoming.
Sit with me here, at the edge of what was and what’s coming. Take a breath. Thank yourself for staying. And step forward gently.
The next season doesn’t need perfection. It just needs you — honest, hopeful, and willing.
And that… is already enough
A hug from me to you as always 🥹🫂💕
(thank you for reading have a good day ❤️)
